Who doesn’t want to embrace their inner “Epic” or feel super “Rad?” This personal poster series (which won a seat in the semi-finals of the Adobe Design Awards) explores typography in a three-dimensional paper space. I was inspired by bone structures, sea creatures, and architecture – in particular, Zaha Hadid’s curvaceous and effortless complexity.
The “Rad” poster is forty layers of paper and the “Epic” nearly a hundred full sheets.
My process incorporated a lot of sketching, 3D mockups, sleepless nights, and midnight binge purchasing of X-Acto blades. Below, is a small portion of my process.
